Many schools around the country recognize National Red Ribbon Week this time of month. Crazy socks, buttons, pins, anything to remind elementary kids to never do drugs or alcohol. It is interesting that parents are a great influence on their children's alcohol use. Consider the fact that as a mom, you especially, have lots of power to dissuade your child to not drink underage. You may decide not to do crazy sock day at home to get the point across, but it just may work as a reminder on top of your call to action in this area for the little ones. Now, the older ones are another matter. I'm not there yet, but have heard. One day at a time.

Is it not ironic? don't you think? We the parents are trying to descourage our children from a adictive DRUG. And the distileries through colorfull commercials are influencing them. And you know what, statistics show that they are winning.
ReplyDeleteStatistics show that the media and their commercials on ethanol "alcohol" is a big influence on brainwashing children into a future of problem drinking and alcoholism.I am in the process of baning these unethical methods of rcruiting children into a future of drug abuse.
ReplyDeleteI have writen hundreds of letters to the elected members of parliment including the Prime Minister , Washington post and 35 other media.Trying to ban these evil methods of brainwashing children into the consumption of this DRUG "alcohol" ethanol beverage.
ReplyDeleteWell devised multy milion dollar commercials that convinces children that by drinking their morbid drug, ethanol, life will be as beautiful as the commercials are. That pisses me off real bad. Makes me realy MADD.The mountains are turning blue on the beer cans, my face is turning red. What a shame.
